The hardest things are always said last… ( going on hiatus ).

As I push the 100 and something blog post threshold I feel myself losing interest. Perhaps it has a little to do with how hectic/busy my rl has gotten since this semester’s began. Like for example, I took pictures last week and I am not entirely satisfied with them but, I figured to achieve the ‘looks’ I want, I’d need to dedicate more time to the process… more time, which, I certainly don’t have.

So, what’s the basis of all this? Is it a subtle hint into the near future? Maybe… because, as it is this year will be an eventful one. I am graduating in the summer and making plans for grad school or pursuing a second degree. I’ll be leaning towards the latter but, I am certain my performance by the end of this semester will be the defining factor all around.

Oh, and not to mention, I’ll be moving in less than a month. Now, not to put my entire reallife out there because, I’ve always strived to maintain a certain amount of anonymity but, I think it is important everyone who cares understands the reasons behind my prolonged absences hence! the explanation…out of respect mostly… Because, I just think it’s rude to disappear without a word and not to the mention, the speculations that might arise as some people have no problem blatantly impersonating others ( e.g the never ending copybot crisis and the things in between) ~ of course, that’s another story for another blog post.

Anyway, I hope you’ve enjoyed my short ado about absences!. When I am officially back, you’ll be the first to know!

Finally a shape!.

I visited the dressing room yesterday and noticed the lien skin by atomic set out for sale in the buff skintone and my heart leaped!. Her skins are awesome!. So I decided to make a shape for that skin and set it out here. The shape is quite similar to my main shape except for minor tweaks here and there.

I have included a styling card with a clear description of what I was wearing including landmarks to each location. I also made various options such as; an option for lipsticks ( if you are big on wearing lipstick layers ), an option for ears ( if you wear prim ears ), another option for skirts ( If you wear sl’s default skirt layers ). While these options are not modifiable I have however included a modifiable shape in there for those who prefer to customize their own stuff. And remember, remember, always make a copy before you alter your new shape!.

Your skin & Your shape’s Beatrice.

Now if you haven’t tried on *YS & YS*’s skins then I personally think you’re missing out. What excites me about Beatrice ( yes, I get excited about things …shhhh ) is the detailing and how gorgeous the nude tone option is. Though I am currently using my shape which I modified for my body co. skin I am seriously considering creating yet another shape for this particular skin. Not sure yet. But keep an eye out.

So far, out of all the makeup options my favorites ( which I put hearts next to ) are the Passion, Happy, evening, and nude makeup looks.

In the fat pack there were also black, brown, red and light brow options. Along with cleavage, eyelash and various lipsticks. Stunning is a word that falls short. *sighs* nomnomnom.

Hi. I saw that song on someone’s profile. It has been a while since I’ve listened to it and I just found it funny how it indirectly applies to at least 80% of what’s going on in my life right now. I think music just gets me.

Lately, I’ve been obsessing about taking decent pictures when I do my blog posts. And, after a long interval since the last time I used Kristen’s viewer I was a bit clueless. Luckily there are people out there who are skilled and “in-the-know” with this viewer and what it does!. Take for example Vivica B.’s awesome tutorial on youtube where I picked up some great tips for the following pictures. Also, if you are curious about the kristen viewer visit Kristen’s website and give it a test drive. http://www.kirstensviewer.com/ . Here’s an example of a neat trick it does!. ( remember NO PHOTOSHOP INVOLVED-except the text of course).

When you get into preferences go to GRAPHICS then ADVANCED and under MISC check the box next to Toggle DOF effect. After that, drag the bar near Camera Focal Length mm to at least 300 ( you can play around with the other numbers as well). Then click OK and focus on your avatar (alt + click on your avatar). And Viola! suddenly you have Depth of field!. ( Click here to see original size )

I am absolutely in love with this outfit, it has multiple layers ( some of which are not seen in these photos) and the belts/ clasps/ and shoes are incredibly highly detailed. Once, I put it on I couldn’t stop drooling. Well done! just wow!

Skin like Lavender.

Hello Beauties!,
I’ve been M.I.A for a while and during my time away I suddenly had this urge to change skins. I had been wearing my beloved Curio for sometime now and I figured it was time to move on. I tried on and even bought a few skins to no avail. That was of course until I came across this skin from The Body Co. called Lavender. I posted up a picture of it on my flickr asking for feedback. And I discovered an interesting tale behind the skin itself ( which, I won’t go into as it seemed to be a simple misunderstanding and doesn’t take much away from the skin itself ). Anyway, at first glance I fell in love with how precise the seams around the nose were. The skin itself is definitely HD! as well as the cleavage.

I think the body was well made but it seemed as though, the darker you go in skintones the harsher the shading appeared to be. Also, I don’t know if anyone else is bothered by this but the shading above and below the lip are pretty red/dark, it might bother some people but, I think I can manage just fine.

Overall this is definitely an improvement from their old skins. Apparently the body co. has a new designer in town!. I can’t wait to see all the improvements that will follow.

Ohhh and not to mention their new customer representatives in the store!. How thoughtful of them?!. Considering how confusing it was to figure out which skin was which and a few other things. I do hope they improve on that. Anyway, go check them out, try on the skins if you want. You won’t be disappointed

I might be venturing into an unknown abyss with this post but, bare with me, I am only a blogger and the only thing that really catches my eye, if anything, is fashion and great style. Just type the word “gor” in search and viola! a large collection comes up ( please,do this ONLY if you are over 18, as all gorean sims are rated R or NSFW!) How did I come about all this information you might ask?, well, for the past few months I have been trying my hand at various roleplay sims. Recently I gave gor another shot, after a day or two I landed myself in a group! with the Ghost Outlaws as a “kajira” also known as a slave. No, it is nothing like the slavery of old which most of us have learned about in school and such. Nor does it have too many similiarities to bdsm as most of secondlife assumes. It’s quite the contrary which I have discovered over the past couple of weeks.

Anyway, all this aside, my favorite pasttime was-you guessed it! “dressing up!!“. Kajirae’s are required to dress appealingly or perhaps raunchy. I will be keeping things a little polite for this post. Enjoy!.

Green day

Hello world,
I am a little sad today. I lost a good friend. Wanna know how? Oh sure, I’ll be more than happy to explain. His girlfriend’s insecurities. Oh, what? you thought there was more to my explanation? Here’s something to think about, and what saddens me above all. If you feel you have the right to keep a man under “lock and key” then it’s not him, it’s you. Fact of the matter is if you cannot trust your man, then there is no use being in a relationship with him. In my defense, I am not a home wrecker. I respect boundaries, all my friends know this. They are comfortable bringing their men around me because they trust me and know my character. Anyway, enough of this, I refuse to be stressed, thanks for letting me vent.

Well yesterday Wylah and I went on an impulse shopping trip and I thought i’d pick up Laq’s skin since I’ve always wanted it. Here’s the picture I took immediately after at her place.

I might get the Laq hair base packs just so I can switch it each time I switch my hair. But I’ll think about that first. hehe
