The hardest things are always said last… ( going on hiatus ).

As I push the 100 and something blog post threshold I feel myself losing interest. Perhaps it has a little to do with how hectic/busy my rl has gotten since this semester’s began. Like for example, I took pictures last week and I am not entirely satisfied with them but, I figured to achieve the ‘looks’ I want, I’d need to dedicate more time to the process… more time, which, I certainly don’t have.

So, what’s the basis of all this? Is it a subtle hint into the near future? Maybe… because, as it is this year will be an eventful one. I am graduating in the summer and making plans for grad school or pursuing a second degree. I’ll be leaning towards the latter but, I am certain my performance by the end of this semester will be the defining factor all around.

Oh, and not to mention, I’ll be moving in less than a month. Now, not to put my entire reallife out there because, I’ve always strived to maintain a certain amount of anonymity but, I think it is important everyone who cares understands the reasons behind my prolonged absences hence! the explanation…out of respect mostly… Because, I just think it’s rude to disappear without a word and not to the mention, the speculations that might arise as some people have no problem blatantly impersonating others ( e.g the never ending copybot crisis and the things in between) ~ of course, that’s another story for another blog post.

Anyway, I hope you’ve enjoyed my short ado about absences!. When I am officially back, you’ll be the first to know!

The “SVP” Project by Phillip Sidek.

Phillip Sidek is one of secondlife’s well known photographers. A talented and brilliant old man!. If you’ve been in one of his numerous projects or had the pleasure of going through his stream on flickr ( click here to see ) you’ll understand what I mean.

So, when I discovered he was at it again and this time with secondlife’s latest obsession, shaaadddooowwws! I was eager to get in on the action. I contacted him in world and well, he made a video of my avatar!. Imagine my excitement when he uploaded it!!.

( And yes, yes, that happens to be my LOTD (look of the day) from yesterday. )

Okay, so here’s how it worked (believe me, it was practically painless). You send him an IM and if he is available at the time he’ll invite you over and you simply let your ao ( animation overrider) run or do whatever you want then, viola within 2 minutes you’re done!. Later on he edits your video, picks out a song for you and uploads it to his flickr and viola! There you are, hanging out with Mr. Sidek on his infamous platform.

Here’s the song he picked out for me; Two Weeks‬ by ‪Grizzly Bear ( I told him I was from Jersey when we spoke, hence the song, they are a well known band from NYC );

How fascinating!.

Salute!

Oh haii thuurr!! . How are all you beautiful people doing today? So I came up with this look yesterday while playing around. I got inspired by Blur Mannequin creator of Ah Flou’s latest release, she’s an up and coming designer who knows patterns! The sculpts do need a little work but, because I know she has a lot of potential and I’m sooo in love with her pattern and color choices, I’ll over look that. And not to mention she’s such a sweetheart!

Seems to me like there has been a huge influx of shaggy, vintage patterns all across flickr… and believe me, this makes me very happy. I love all things pretty and worn and… hehehe don’t let me carry on.

Green day

Hello world,
I am a little sad today. I lost a good friend. Wanna know how? Oh sure, I’ll be more than happy to explain. His girlfriend’s insecurities. Oh, what? you thought there was more to my explanation? Here’s something to think about, and what saddens me above all. If you feel you have the right to keep a man under “lock and key” then it’s not him, it’s you. Fact of the matter is if you cannot trust your man, then there is no use being in a relationship with him. In my defense, I am not a home wrecker. I respect boundaries, all my friends know this. They are comfortable bringing their men around me because they trust me and know my character. Anyway, enough of this, I refuse to be stressed, thanks for letting me vent.

Also, I updated my skin to the Vilda pack from Laq. I know you guys know how much I’ve been in love with the christmas pack she sent out to her subscribers. That version can be seen in most of my other posts and the makeup on has red lips and green eyeshadow. Well yesterday Wylah and I went on an impulse shopping trip and I thought i’d pick up Laq’s skin since I’ve always wanted it. Here’s the picture I took immediately after at her place.

I might get the Laq hair base packs just so I can switch it each time I switch my hair. But I’ll think about that first. hehe

Today, I wanna be young again. Not young, like young, but young like a kid. I think back to when I was a little kid. I had zero responsibilities aside from making sure I brushed my teeth at night and giving mom and dad a kiss before I went to bed. Sometimes things get so overwhelming and I’ve found that my escapism is sleep or music. What’s your escapism?
