The hardest things are always said last… ( going on hiatus ).

As I push the 100 and something blog post threshold I feel myself losing interest. Perhaps it has a little to do with how hectic/busy my rl has gotten since this semester’s began. Like for example, I took pictures last week and I am not entirely satisfied with them but, I figured to achieve the ‘looks’ I want, I’d need to dedicate more time to the process… more time, which, I certainly don’t have.

So, what’s the basis of all this? Is it a subtle hint into the near future? Maybe… because, as it is this year will be an eventful one. I am graduating in the summer and making plans for grad school or pursuing a second degree. I’ll be leaning towards the latter but, I am certain my performance by the end of this semester will be the defining factor all around.

Oh, and not to mention, I’ll be moving in less than a month. Now, not to put my entire reallife out there because, I’ve always strived to maintain a certain amount of anonymity but, I think it is important everyone who cares understands the reasons behind my prolonged absences hence! the explanation…out of respect mostly… Because, I just think it’s rude to disappear without a word and not to the mention, the speculations that might arise as some people have no problem blatantly impersonating others ( e.g the never ending copybot crisis and the things in between) ~ of course, that’s another story for another blog post.

Anyway, I hope you’ve enjoyed my short ado about absences!. When I am officially back, you’ll be the first to know!

With the number of changes taking place across the grid sometimes when I log in I feel clouded by things such as; trying to find the “new inventory” button on viewer 2 or asking myself “ where’d they put that feature now?”. I think change is good and some research states that it stimulates the brain, putting it to use, which is always a good thing right?.

Anyway, I recently blogged about L’amant’s debut here as well as the group gift. And while at L’amant’s preview stall I also bought this fabulous all black gown which comes with the lace piece which hides the face, giving it some mystery.

I think L’amant’s designer has definitely done well with this sculpted skirt and I am impressed. As some of you know I am attracted to avante grande, couture style pieces so this dress was definitely right up my alley. The right dress always, always takes the cake.

I really like cybernetic looks and I think carrying swords is sexy so when I put this look together the other day ( yes, I have been walking around like this for a few days now ) I thought it was perfect but, when it came down to snapping the pictures, getting the perfect snapshot and location to get what I was trying to portray was damn near impossible.

Did I mention how much I love apple spice poses? Especially their action poses? I had to restrain myself yesterday while surfing through her collection but, I must say they were literally perfect for this sword.

Also, a good friend of mine, Onagh Ashbourne, who is an angel by the way filled me in on the new updates going on around sl. It seems like mesh will be rolling in really soon, by the end of August, are you ready?

In other news;

It’s awesome the things you discover on flickr just by browsing through it. It’s one of the only ways i update myself on what’s new in sl if I’ve been away for a while.

Anyway, I saw the skin I have on in this picture at lucifer luckless‘s stream and fell in love with the softness of the face. It’s still in beta and he’s doing a lot of tweaking so he’s looking for feedback and, I volunteered! and even modded my shape to create a face out of it.

So, I’ve been trying to frame my pictures differently lately, what do you guys think? Yes? no? or maybe?

My new favorite pair of shoes are these ones from époque. They remind me of a pair I have seen on runways and on Lady gaga’s feet.

Also, check out this posture collar which I got from open collar, free for anyone, there are tones of scripted collars just like this one there so if ever you feel like collecting a bunch of neck pieces you know where to go!.

Have you ever thought of wearing double eyelashes? I’ve tried it in rl and it looks great so, I took a chance at it in sl as well since, luckily we can attach more than one item at one spot on phoenix and viewer 2.0. I really love those winged eyelashes from House of fox I think it gives my eyes an extra sultry look. What do you think?

The most exciting thing about sl is dressing up like this and walking around without anyone giving you a ‘second look”. Another exciting part is finding the perfect “scene” when it comes to taking pictures. One of my favorite blogs to visit for scenery inspirations is avatar’s in motion. I have to admit, in my opinion, her blog is one of the most beautiful blogs I’ve ever come across.

I met someone today who asked me about one of my posts and wanted to know if there was an irony behind it. I laughed and admited this was the case. Much of my inspiration stems from experience and random situtions.

Today, this faun/unicorn look apears to be the perfect anecdote for my latest cripted message. I believe ‘being different” should be embraced. But, never compromise your dignity to seek sympathy for your differences or short commings, real or fictional. Be true to your “weird” “crazy” “sexy” boring” self -whatever it may be- and make no apologies for it! . This obviously doesn’t mean I am literally a unicorn-even though I would like to be- but you get the point! Be yourself people!! we’ll love you more for it.

Now on to my look for the day.*does a prance, a gallop and spins around*. Yes, yes, I am enjoying the moment. I love those hooves!

Hello again. So, as we all know, easter is right around the corner (April 24th). And everyone is thinking of pink bunnies, flushed cheeks and lots of eggs but, let’s keep in mind that Our troops ( American troops and a list of allies) are still packed in Afghanistan and are still at war and many of them won’t be coming home for Easter.

This post is my little dedication to them saying thank you in my own little way. Send cards, plastic easter eggs, panties, whatever. But, most of all, keep them in your prayers. Whatever they are fighting for. It’s for you and I.

In other news, I’m sure you’ve noticed my makeup obsession with two particular brands (my favorite makeup artists by the way) PIDIDDLE COSMETICS and LA MALVADA MUJER both of which I discovered via the KozmetiKa show case.

Well, while we are on the topic of beauty stuff I’ve discovered another new found infartuation; highly-detailed-tatted-henna-hands. The ones I have on in these pictures are designed by Tera Varriale designer of MEEs.( Also seen on sl’s marketplace ).

Sometimes discovering little shops and small time designers can be a pleasant surprise!. You never know what awesomeness you’ll find… probably things you might never see across the grid.
